A family business established in 1919, we have many years experience of plant raising for the commercial grower.

The production area consists of 2ha of cover standing in a total of 5.5ha.

The range of plants includes vegetable, leafy salads and more recently, strawberry plants for glasshouse and outdoor fruit production.

Our location in the South East places us in an area of ideal light and weather conditions for plant growth. Also, we are ideally situated to serve our customer base in the "Garden of England", The Thames Valley and Essex.

Our business success is built on close contact with seed suppliers, the crop growers and their marketing organisations. Our active involvement and dedication to the Plant Propagators Association's code of practice gives customers confidence that the plants we dispatch will be produced to the correct specification and will establish well. In recent years we have made substantial and carefully planned investments in modern glasshouses and increased mechanisation.

Our computerised environmental control systems enable the climate to be maintained at optimum settings throughout the growing period. A recent development is the improvement of the hardening off area at the back of the nursery. A powered gantry system is in place, which applies water and feed evenly, "finishing" the plants prior to delivery to the customer.
